Debabrata Chakraborty is an Indian modern artist was born in 1959 and received his formal training in art from the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata. He is a painter and sculptor. The knowledge he gained through academic training enabled him to excel in both painting and sculpture. Some of his most renowned works include bronze sculptures depicting notable personalities, political leaders, and mythological figures, such as a bust of Rabindranath Tagore and a sculpture of the Ramayana character Ravana. Additionally, he has painted works that reflect folk culture.
