(Born- 1973)

Dinkar Jadhav was born in small village in Pune district, Maharashtra, 1973. He is an emerging artist, studied General Diploma in Art in 1994 at the Abhinava Kala Mahavidyalaya in Pune, Maharashtra. Jadhav inspired by the natural world or environments. 

As an Artist, he aims to express his innermost emotions and feelings. In a career of more than 25 years, he worked on many different subjects. In his early career, he painted landscapes, and worked extensively with the palette knife. According to him, in his childhood, he made the bulls from the mud or clay and gave the hand impressions. And In 2009, he got an inspiration of horses, the Victoria Tonga. The bulls and the horse both are represents the energy and the power, which is connected to the human’s energy. 

Jadhav creates a crayon-like texture in his artworks with acrylic colours, adding to their uniqueness. The bright, confident colours and gentle brushstrokes reflect a spirit of living in the moment. His horses represent humanity's fearless pursuit of love. His colour palette is vibrant and confident, with his brushstrokes reflecting the essence of embracing life

Jadhav’s artworks feature blocks of colour, geometric shapes, and sharp angles. The interplay of light and shadow is captured through his use of colour, with reds and blues often dominating, giving his art pieces a bold character. By using acrylics, he creates a crayon-like texture in his work, adding to its distinctiveness.

Jadhav has held numerous group and solo shows across India, He is a recipient of several awards, including a State Arts Award for Portrait Painting which he won in 1995.

Dinkar Jadhav lives and works in Pune.
