Dipto Narayan was born in West Bengal, 1973. He is an Indian contemporary artist. He holds his Master’s degree in Fine Arts with distinction from Jiwaji University Gwalior and Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Rabindra Bharati University Kolkata. He also holds diploma in Visual Arts from Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. Presently, he is a research scholar with “Raja Mansingh Tomar University” Gwalior.
On his journey to fame, he has explored the art world as an artist, curator, critic, and most importantly, as a remarkable humanitarian.Narayan's journey through over 600 successful exhibitions and workshops showcases his abundant talent, boundless energy, and relentless creative drive. He has always been involved in the vast world of art and is continuously refining his artistic sensibilities. His relief paintings, with their unique expressionistic style, have earned him significant praise and recognition.
His brushstrokes express lively imaginations in a unique way. In realistic paintings, he shows exceptional perfection and almost photo-realistic skills. When he explores fantasy or abstract themes, he unleashes his imagination freely, pushing surrealism to new heights. His mixed media artworks are unique because he adds a third dimension to flat surfaces, creating reliefs like brickwork. These mixed media pieces define his primary style, giving him his distinctive signature and identity as an artist. He uses and experiments with various mediums such as watercolours, acrylics, crayons, pastels, gouache, tempera, oils, and mixed media. In graphics, he works with linocuts, woodcuts, and etchings. He had participated in many national and international art exhibitions. His paintings are in collection of all the ambassadors of the European Union countries for their respective embassies and exclusively by the Ambassador of European Commission.
