Milanendu Mondal was born in Murshidabad, West Bengal, 1961. He holds Diploma in painting from India art College, Kolkata. Also, in 1987, he got teacher training in Art Appreciation course from Calcutta University.
Mondal often paints in watercolour, freshness shown in his watercolour landscape paintings. Also painted the “Gangtok” series. His subjects are on day-today life of rural and urban areas. His compositions are calm and peaceful and soothing to the eyes.
Mondal has showcased his works (20 solos and more than 50 groups) exhibitions at various prestigious art galleries. He is one of the known for realistic Indian painters. He achieved K.V.Incentive Award in 2004.
Milanendu Mondal passed away in West Bengal.
