Partho Dutta, a highly skilled artist from Bengal, is renowned contemporary Indian artist and he is well-known for his vibrant and joyful paintings of horses and bulls. Through his art, he captures the strength and motion of these magnificent creatures. He studied at Rabindra Bharti University in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Dutta mastered various forms of visual communication and printmaking, including wood engraving, metal engraving, copper and zinc etching, collagraphy, stone lithography, plate lithography, and serigraphy. He also has expertise in 2D animation, illustration, and 3D modelling. In addition to his famous "Horse & Bulls" series, Dutta is also known for his specialized paintings of Banaras. His work is celebrated for its vibrant colors and dynamic compositions, reflecting his deep artistic skill and passion. He works in charcoals, acrylics and watercolours.
Dutta has held over 30 exhibitions and received 11 awards, including the prestigious National Award from the Government of India. He has dedicated his life to art and currently works as a professional artist.
