Prolay Kundu was born in Kolkata, and he is eminent visual artist. He graduated Bachelor’s of Visual Arts from Govt. College of Arts & Crafts, Kolkata, under the guidance of eminent artists in India Bikash Bhattacharya and Ganesh Haloi.
The relationship between human beings and nature is a central theme in his works. His creative spirit shows a deep observation of both. His paintings express the inner feelings and connection between humans and nature, including values, pain, dreams, love, and peace. The compositions are reflecting his ongoing search for identity and capture his psychological introspections, showcasing continuous experimentation in his artistic journey. His talent is evident in the fresh and vibrant palette of colors he uses, bringing a unique energy to each of his pieces.
Kundu experiment with various mediums, such as, oils, gouache, transparent watercolor, acrylics, the application of color treatment or technique is transparent and translucent effects. His color palette brings breath of freshness of his paintings.
Kundu has been participated many solos and group art exhibitions across India and abroad and also achieved many awards.
